Youth baseball bats feature anywhere from 2 1/4" - 2 3/4" barrel diameter. These bats can also range in their length to weight ratio between -13.5 (lightest) and -5 (heaviest). Built for players ranging from 4 to 14 years old, there is a good shot you could be searching for a youth baseball bat.
Before making your purchase, be sure that you've determined if you're player will need a USA rated bat -or- a USSSA rated bat. A USA rated baseball bat will be needed for use in AABC, Babe Ruth, Cal Ripken, Dixie Youth, Little League or Pony. A USSSA rated baseball bat (also known as a travel ball bat) is what you will want if you are playing in a league or travel circuit governed by USSSA.
